An interesting blend of Vietnam from north to south including an o/n sleeper train. The success and enjoyment of these trips is usually down to the blend of fellow travellers and team leader and this one was no different. The weather,early season, was mixed with a little more rain and cloud than hoped for but did not detract from the enjoyment but a little more sunshine would have enhanced the countryside. A read of the brochure and trip notes will give a very accurate picture of the breadth and variety of the trip. The daily riding distances are mainly governed by the fitness of the participants and their ability to cover the miles in a reasonable time and for the first time in my experience of 7 trips we were delayed by some participants who frankly were not cycling fit and I wonder if they had read and understood the pre - trip advice!

I am a little late in posting a review. We returned from this trip in early March, right when everything started to close down due to Covid-19. I can tell you that the memories of this trip have kept me going while sheltering in place. If you are thinking this might be the trip for you, please know that it is very fast paced with moving from place to place almost every night was quite challenging. The cycling itself was challenging based on ones fitness level. My husband completed every kilometer, while I did about three-quarters of the cycling. A lot of it depends on the heat, but for a female in my early 50s, I found it very doable. We had the most fabulous guide and crew. I cannot say enough of about our guide Son - he was absolutely amazing - taking care of all the details while we enjoyed ourselves. There are plenty of water/snack stops with fresh fruit and amazing snacks (ginger/nuts/cookies). They take very good care of you

Abbiamo già fatto un paio di viaggi in bicicletta e questo è stato probabilmente il migliore. Tri, la nostra guida era eccezionale e tutti i nostri compagni ciclisti erano un gruppo eccezionale di persone. Abbiamo avuto un vero sapore della vita in Vietnam. Ci sono un sacco di cibo interessante. I pasti erano buoni e abbondanti. Thought we would lose weight but didn't! Buoni alberghi. Molti punti salienti ma un paio circa da sottolineare,Isola delle Balene e Hoi An, i 30 km esilaranti di discesa e ciclismo nel traffico del centro città...... molto divertente ma ti lascia il cuore a mille. È abbastanza pieno e ti viene voglia di trascorrere più tempo in alcuni dei luoghi visitati. Si arriva al solito schema 5 - 6 pm, partire alle 7.15 la mattina successiva. Tuttavia abbiamo trovato il tempo per nuotare nelle piscine dell'hotel. Il treno notturno è stato molto divertente... tutto parte dell'avventura. Per coprire l'intera lunghezza del paese ci sono tempi un po' lunghi sull'autobus, ma l'autobus era comodo ma c'erano ottime possibilità di parlare con i tuoi compagni di viaggio. Questo ti dà anche il tempo di vedere più parti del paese e osservare la gente. Siamo rimasti sconcertati da quanto potrebbe essere ammucchiato su uno scooter!Le bici erano ideali per le condizioni stradali oltre ad essere pulite e molto ben mantenute. Alle frequenti soste di ristoro/riposo c'era molto succo, acqua, frutta, noci e biscotti. L'autista e il meccanico della bici erano molto cordiali e molto competenti. Ottima organizzazione, le cose sono accadute quando Tri ha detto che sarebbero accadute

An excellent ride amongst stunning scenery, beautiful food and very friendly and welcoming people

We were part of a group of 17 who quickly formed a close bond created entirely by the enthusiasm and generosity of our leader. Nothing was too much trouble Long went out of his way every day to make sure we experienced in full life in Vietnam. The trip ran like clockwork, without us feeling we were being rushed at any stage. He made it fun even when we cycled 100 k in a day taking in a very high mountain pass.
